Grandpa Update

So, My grandfather is in surgery right now to have certain suspicious cancerous tumors removed from his bladder. Turns out bladder cancer is much more prevelant in metal workers (of which my grandfather is). If the cancer is contained in his bladder all should turn out well. If not he may not have much longer. The question today is if he will survive the surgery. his heart is healthy but with diabetes and old age he runs a risk anyhow.
The thing is, my grandpa is one of those tough guys whose managed to avoid Mr.grim reaper several times. The most recent adventure was when he fell off a ladder about 7 years ago. Oh we thought he was a gonner then. Blod clots threatened to do him in. But no, he healed up just fine. Had to spend some time in the hospital where he desperatly craved diet cola, and didn't understand why he was being deprived. The nurses were all deemed "torturers" for witholding. Eventually he had to be tethered to the bed to prevent an errant trip to the soda machine.
I think he's off the juice this time around so it shouldn't prove to be a problem in his post recovery. I'll keep you posted as to how everything turns out.
