Rejected

So I didn't get into BYU. I figured it would end this way. Their program only accepts 8 people a year and that includes an average acceptance GPA of a 3.96. I applied because their tuition is so cheap I would have been an idiot to not even try.

Are you wondering what rejection looks like? Here it is for your enjoyment.

Dear Freyja,

Thank you for your recent application for admission to graduate study at Brigham Young University. We regret to inform you that the Marriage and Family Therapy MS program has not recommended you for admission for Fall 2008. We receive applications from many fine applicants and competition for the limited number of graduate student openings is keen. Such decisions are reached after comparing the relative merits of all applicants to a particular program in addition to considering the availability of faculty and facilities. If you would like more information concerning this decision, we invite you to contact the department at this email address: mftsec@byu.eduWe appreciate your interest in Brigham Young University and wish you success in attaining your personal and academic goals.
Sincerely,Bonnie Brinton, Ph.D.Dean, Graduate Studies
