We went to Seaside back last June, and on our way home stopped in Astoria, Oregon to Climb the John Jacob Astor Tower. Rachel was a bit beside herself.
The land on the other side of the Columbia River is Washington State.
ummm...why is her butt wet? Brian and I climbed the tower when we were there on our honeymoon- I remember it being scarier when I was a kid. I have memories of there not being a railing, but I'm pretty sure there had to have been one.
She was so scared she was hugging the wall which was all wet. Yes there is a railing and yess my legs shook too-on the way down. I was wearing the worst shoes.

i've been up there. my legs wouldn't stop shaking once i made it back down. that's how many steps there were.
