6 hour cookies

When I begin to have too much going on in my life I know because important things start to slip unnoticed by myself. Recently it was my Electric bill, my rent check, and last night I left 10 minute cookies in the oven for 6 hours. I'll post a picture-but I'm sure you know what it looked like. We've all been there. Hocky pucks.

I can't get them off the pan and will probably just need to throw the whole thing. My apartment isn't very big so the worst of it is the smell that has permeated everything. One time Greg and Peter's roommate left an egg to boil on the stove all day while he went off to class. That was the worst lingering smell I have ever delt with. Thankfully I just avoided their home for a semester until they moved and all was well.

This weekend Ellie, Ryan, and I are taking a trip down to portland to house hunt. We stayed up late last night picking out our favorites and will meet with several realtors on Saturday to see some homes. Exciting huh? Right now I'm pulling for a craftsman style near NW 23rd that has 6 bedrooms and needs some moderate updating. Ryan thinks he could make money off it so we'll see.

Is that a picture of the craftsman that you want? Are you buying a house?

I've talked my wealthy friend into buying a house in Portland for me to live in. He flips houses for a living, so we're going to find a bit of a fixer upper and make it shine. All while I live there for reduced rent. Nice huh? We're going this Saturday to meet with a realtor. This is one of the one's we'll be seeing. It's near NW 23rd.
