Monkey Trouble

I've been making monkeys like crazy for my little brother's Eagle scout project. It's sorta fun because they each come out with their own personality. The monkeys will be heading out to an impoverished part of the philippines and given to children.

My first two (seen here) had a little photo shoot in a tree. the one on the left has diamond earings

The purple one was one that I finished for a little boy. He had already stuffed the ears so they were huge! I tried to balance them out with Big button eyes, but I think it all just makes his head look tiny.

I still need to stitch a mouth on Senior Cheetah. And the gray one makes me smile.

These are the boxes that Dad and Fletch made for the church buildings. Mother had a vision of monkey shaped holes in the tops of the boxes. It cracks me up how my family all works together.

Don't you know those earrings will be hocked the moment that monkey hits the streets? It's a shame. But really, those look way cute. I want to make one too... I love our family.

I found your blog on Ariel's. LOVE the sock monkeys, are they still accepting donations? LOVE the monkey box too. I should make one for Caribou... I would love to make a few sock monkeys over the weekend.
