Kill me--Ugh!

I have the flu. I've slept for the last two days and just barely came out of my room tonight. My fever broke (thank goodness) and I'm hoping to get some more rest tonight. I have to say tho that there's nothing more deliriously annoying than being near death, hardly able to stand, feverish-----and having to try to remove the safety cap off a bottle of cough syrup. My roommates haven't been around (otherwise I would have asked for help) and I stumbled from my room to the kitchen medicine cabinet. I had to stop once to brace against the wall. I find the syrup, find a spoon, and have to sit on the floor to stop my head from swooning. I then try to remove the cap. No luck. I squeeze the sides and turn. No luck. I tap the edges against the dishwasher, I muscle it, I push down hard, then my arm gives out. My eyes start crying, I'm not really sure why cause I was feeling pretty OK, just frustrated. I wiped my eyes and noticed that the cough syrup has a crusty ring around the opening. I guess after last using the medicine I hadn't wiped the opening, so the dried syrup was acting as a super strength glue to keep me from relief.

I got it open eventually. I drank my fill and went to bed.

I hate being sick
