"I’m with a man who's evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful, because of the journey it has taken and what it has created," she said. "He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier."
Expressed by Angelina Jolie about Brad Pitt.
I enjoy this sentiment very much and believe it speaks to most people. Our bodies carry the burden of life and most of the time the outcome is far less than Hollywood standards. To embrace that is a gift we can give ourselves and others. To hold unrealistic ideals is a curse to ourselves and others.
I read a news article recently that spoke of a woman getting a face-lift as the result of endless taunting from her husband that she looked old. She got the surgery and ended up passing away from complications. How sad is it that in a relationship like marriage, where she should feel safest to be herself and accepted, faults and all, she is being bullied by the man that made unconditional promises and vows to her.
Priorities folks! Look it up!
