I haven't posted in a while and I wanted to check in before the Holidays. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm just piddling along. Work has been a bit stressful but thankfully it's not because I don't like it. It's been stressful because we've been short-staffed and some of my clients have been giving us a run for our money. A new clinet that I got a week ago decided he was upset and walked out. We are located about 50 meters from a busy highway and he thought...or didn't think and somehow ended up in the highway trying to stop cars moving about 65-70 miles per hour. Thankfully my staff were able to strong-arm him out of the road after a few minutes and directed traffic around him but......stress.

Two weeks ago we hired a new employee and despite a few concerns we had we felt we could train her well and that we'd have a good outcome. On her first shift she dropped a ziploc bag full of zanax and a pain reliever similar to oxycontin. She called us after her shift around midnight to inform us of this and asked us to find it for her. Unfortunately it had already been ingested by a particularly impulsive client of mine and the result was a call to poison control and poking him awake each hour to make sure he was surviving.

What's good about this job is that there is never a dull moment. Even for my dog. He was out playing for a few hours the other day and I went looking for him. He was in the yard tossing an old turkey head all over the place having a grand time. Last week I was working and my office started to small a gross and I looked over and he had brought in a chicken foot. No clue where he finds these things but he's consistent.

I was able to meet up with Ryan VW and Kyle Jorgenson this week for dinner up in SLC. Ryan was down for a quick vacation with familyand Kyle had recently moved to SLC. It was a great time and it reminded me that I have good friends, even if right now I don't seem to have any. We talked about anything and everything and it was perfect. I'm excited to see Ryan when I head to Portland for Christmas.

For the Holidays my sisters, brother and I are all piling into my Toyota to drive up to Portland. We crunched the numbers and although it will take more travel time we all want to save the money. I renewed my plates and got a tune-up for the car but I'm a little strapped and can't afford the new tires I need. I don't know if this will prove a lesson in faith or stupidity but it pretty much came down to paying my tithing or buying new tires. I tried to shop around for some used ones but my tire size fits most trucks and they get snatched up pretty easily......so unless something changed in the next week I may be driving home on some balding tires. I'm going to say a few prayers and check back with the used tire places and see if I can find any.

Other than that there's not much going on. I'm going to be sending out some Christmas cards. I ordered them and I'm hoping they come in the mail today so i can send them out monday or tuesday.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday! God bless!
