So I'm practically an old woman, but I still need help making desicions. Before sending this e-mail I had to call my dad for reassurance that I was making the right decision. He thinks, (and is most likely right) that Lewis and Clark will be the craziest liberal education experience of my life, but it's still a quality education regardless of political background.
On a different note, we hit Seattle this weekend with some new friends and had a great time. We went out to Alki beach for dinner, and Golden Gardens for a bonfire. We tried to hit up the Dueling Piano Bar known as Chopstix, but it was a little too crazy for us on a Saturday night. Packed to the gills and roudy. The pianists were amazing, but a bit overshadowed by all the noise and drinking. One poor girl was pretty wasted. Up on stage teetering with a birthday balloon tied to her wrist. I think the ballon served a dual purpose, one to keep her waifish frame upright and up off the floor, and two to help her friends find her if she wandered off stage into the crowd.

The start of a long list of reasons why I would never drink alchohol:

1. You act like an idiot
2. Tendancy to drool and continually wipe your mouth
3. The dancing--why do drunks think they can dance?
4. Grandpa's stories. Apparently our family has a long history of love for the drink and the women tend to beat and occasionally kill their abusivly drunk husbands. Usually by working them over with a shoe as they sleep.
5. Apparently your friends tie ballons to you.
