Alum....Hallelujah!!

Went to Walgreens to buy:
Arch Supports
Left Walgreens with:
Arch Supports (good)
Haribo Gummy Bears (tasty, chewy)
Haribo Cola Gummies (Unknown)
A card for Cole (good girlfriend)
A Reeses Chocolate Bar (bad)
People Magazine (McCains on the cover)

I did an experiment, and although it may be frowned upon by all who practice real science--I would like to say that after one successful drug trial I can say that Alum is a gift from God. Several members in my family suffer frequently from mouth ulcers. Through the grapevine we had heard that a pickling agent for cucumbers, known as Alum could help speed up the process. I have had success myself, but wondered if I was jumping all over Alum like the world public jumped all over Tonya for beating Nancy. So I'm pleased to say that last week I started to develop two (2) mouth ulcers. I decided to treat only one with Alum, and leaving the other to it's own device. and here I am 4 days later---the ulcer treated with Alum is all but gone, while the other is killing me. Actually I forgot about it tonight until I bit into that Reeses chocolate bar. For those who are unafflicted, you wouldn't be aware that chocolate on a mouth ulcer is like salt in a wound, or wet sand in your bathing suit.

I don't normally buy People magazine, but I was intrigued by the McCain Cover. Visually his family is quite mismatched, old kids, young kids, a teenager who looks to be of Indian heritage. There's no way all those people came out of Cindy. There was also an article on the Palin's as well. Figured People Magazine was just as reputable as other news sources covering the election at this point in the game. I'll let you know if I read anything shocking.

Other headlines on the front page:
Britney's mom breaks her silence and Beyonce and her 5 million wedding ring.

looks to be promising.

I told you alum was amazing! Hannah hates using it because of the taste, but I say the momentary gross-ness is worth it.

Totally. Sometimes those buggers can last for several weeks. I love getting rid of them after a couple days.
