Driving home after a long graveyard shift I passed Sesame Doughnuts on Oleson and looked to the left to see up ahead there was a small child standing on the edge of the road. She looked like she was trying to cross the busy street and I became quickly alarmed as there didn't seem to be an adult or crosswalk anywhere near her favor. I slowed and was able to see her more clearly. Clutched in her tiny hands was an enormous Starbucks coffee travel mug, and she was taking a quick sip. My fear instantly dissipated and I realized this must surely be an adult who has the gift of anti-aging, because children do not wait on busy streets and sip coffee. Not in my town they don't. Boy I hope I was right.
