The Celine Concert

Highlights of the night:

1. Being told the concert started at 8pm and not arriving til 8:40pm (worst traffic ever!) only to find out thankfully that it started at 9pm

2. Being told by a cop that he would shoot us if we crossed the street. When we laughed he assured us he was serious.

3. Watching a cute lady in front of us sing to her husband during "I'm your lady, and you are my man."

4. Listening to Celine mispronounce "Tacoma." over and over and over. "How are you doing Tacoma!!"

5. Theorizing about Nasa designing Celine's amazing shoes, and picturing the astronauts testing Stilettos in space. 

I know you might be saying "Freyja, you went to the Celine Dion Concert last night and I'm just dying to know what she wore." and I would be obliging you with the above drawings and notes. Celine had a series of 6 costume changes during the course of her World Tour stop in Tacoma, WA. Although they were by no means over the top or Gaudy--they were still amazing. The show was Amazing.

After leaving the concert the parking situation however, was less than amazing. We spent an hour in the parking garage waiting for our turn to back up. In our boredom we decided to document her costume changes and take a nap.

After singing a number of oldies but goodies, Celine favored us with a few songs off her new album, as well as a tribute to "Queen" and a french ballad that no could understand, so they all took a bathroom break. Her set included conveyor belts and several platforms that went up and down. And of course lots of lights.

No one accidentally fell off the stage, although I kept hoping.

Her fist encore was some sound no one could understand, so we all cheered a little louder and she favored up with the Theme from Titanic. Lit Candles descended from the sky and she put on her serious face. It was Awesome!

I used a disposable camera for the concert so I'll post pictures as soon as they're developed.

I just want to thank my sister Marcene again for sending me the tickets!!!!
