Arthur Sato

At Sam's suggestion our family attended a blazer's game on December 30th. For those who were not aware the Blazers are doing great this year, and we had tickets to their sold out game against the national champion Celtics. And they won!! It was a harrowing game. I didn't really know this but was clued in by my friend Arthur Sato. Arthur and I were in Mrs. Litner's first grade class together. He played the oboe, I the clarinet. We even rode the same bus, driven by an old mormon fella named Clarence.
Funny enough I ran into Arthur Saturday before the game at an old pizza joint downtown. I mentioned I had an extra ticket to the game, and he mentioned he was huge fan. Convenient. But it was great catching up (he just finished his masters at the Julliard and lives in New York as a professional Oboist) and he kept me abreast of the game.
He almost had several heart attacks during the last two minutes, this let me know I should be interested in what was going on down there.
How often do you get to run into people you first met 20 years ago?
