NPR Ari

VIP Guest Bloggers: A Reunion Story, by Jesse Archer and Ari Shapiro
In the gay gay nineties, in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, there was once a high school called Beaverton.

Turns out, we went there together. Well...we both went there, anyway. GO BEAVERS!!! Fact is, we just met--at the out 100 party, and we're both honored to be included as Out 100 honorees.....

So if any small children are reading this, and wondering what THEY can do to be in the Out 100 someday, the answer is obvious.

Attend Beaverton High School.

You are not alone.

Love,
Ari Shapiro (BHS '96)
Jesse Archer (BHS '92
ps. We were not the first gays to attend BHS...BUT IT CERTAINLY FELT LIKE IT!!!
