Oh man...I've got one of those people in my class. You know the type that asks so many questions, and pick little fights over the dumbest stuff. This guy is bad. It's a career counseling class, and he's determined to get every penny out of his well spent tuition. EVERYthing is open for analyzing. In short he sucks.
This week we were in small groups and he got in an argument with this lady about health care reform. He personally believes that if people were taught healthy ways of living, then health care wouldn't even be needed. He argues and argues, not giving an inch (why they had to come to consensus in the first place I can't remember) and finally she says "can I just say one thing?" and he says yes. So she states her opinion, and he says "I guess I will let you say that one thing". He says it in this condescending, you're an idiot no matter what, and thank goodness I'm in the room to balance out your inane babble type tone.
I could have slapped him, and he wasn't even talking to me.
I stopped him and gave him a piece of my mind. and he wasn't happy-but boy was I.
Some people there is just no way of pollyannying.

no healthcare system at all?! What does he plan to do when he discovers his heart defect or tumor on his brain?
good luck with that one... sounds like he just likes attention, that or he really is an idiot.
I agree that if people understood and followed healthy living habits the costs of general heath care would go down, but not go away.
Way to put him in his place.
