Soccer

I'm getting old (I know this is a recurring lament on this blog) but it really hit home for me yesterday while playing indoor soccer at the stake center.  I managed to kick a soccer ball against a wall and have it fly back nano speed quick right into my slightly open mouth. My teeth were fine but I shifted some disc in my jaw and now my bite is going to be off for a few solid weeks. My x-rays revealed no fracture which is a blessing. I just have to wait for some tendon I tweaked and some muscles to calm down.

I think this is why dancing always appealed to me. You coordinate your movements to create something of beauty as well as ensuring that no one runs into you. Contact sports ensure nothing. I kicked a ball into my own face.

Oh...on a happy note, we had a great weekend in Eagle Crest out in central Oregon. We biked and hiked, ate food and played lots of games. My favorite was sitting in the hot tub...a lot.
