Had that happen today. I'm not even going to try and come up with the direct quote but I want to try and catch the gist of it. If you are living a good life, and being the kind of person you should be then good things will happen when they are supposed too.
Too cryptic, right?
The speaker in church said "Christ never said "I come soon." He said "I come quickly." (Not sure if that's doctrinally true, I haven't checked my scriptures yet) The distinction here being that there are times when we feel we are ready for certain blessings in our life, friends, careers, marriage being examples. The Lord didn't promise us when these things will happen, just that they will when the time is right. And when the time is right they will happen quickly.Ok. I'm going to give up on trying to explain this...simply because it was so perfect in church and now I can't recreate it, but....I really liked it and it reminded me of one of the things I forget often:
Live your life the way you want it lived. Take care of yourself and trust that the Lord will care for you. Don't get caught up in what you don't have cause that is a waste of time and energy. The Lord is in charge and will keep his promises as you keep yours.
I know that when I was applying for jobs that this job in Roosevelt was the right one for me. I applied, I got a call, I got and interview, I flew out for a second interview, and I got the job. And at each step I felt good about what was happening. My job isn't perfect but it's pretty darn near close and I'm so grateful I was ready when it presented itself because the lord worked quickly and here I am.
I also love that during those moments when I doubt a move to such a small town, I can rely on my knowledge that this job is the right job for me----and by default, Roosevelt is the right town for me.
