Have you seen this character on SNL? He reads the news without actually giving you any bit of news. Right when you think he'll pull together an entire sentence.....he doesn't. It's pretty clever.

Yesterday my RS president asked if I would like to have a blessing from the elders for my surgery recovery. I haven't hit the hardest part of my recovery yet (according to my doctor and online tonsillectomy bloggers) so I told her I would love a blessing. I think my hope was that a blessing will help smooth over the rough patches I have coming up.
Two nice men from the ward showed up and the one giving the blessing, bless his heart, gave me a blessing akin to Nicholas. Every time he would almost say something like "heal", or "comfort" or "feel better" he would stop and change the subject to something else. In the end the only concrete thing mentioned in the blessing was that I would think about faith.
It was funny enough that I almost pointed out what had happened, Thankfully I stopped myself (I have really bad social skills sometimes.) Instead I'm going to focus my scripture study today on faith and see how it goes.
