study time

I've got to take my national marriage and family therapy exam in ten days. I've only studied about 5 hours. Boo! So to hold myself accountable I'm blogging to say that I will study a minimum of one hour a day for the next ten days until I take it.

If I don't pass it's a big fat 300 bucks I've wasted and I have to wait another six months before I can take it again.

Quick update in other news.....I hit a buck (as most of you know) and banged up my new month-old car. I was pretty shaken up but thankfully not angry. Back in December the Lord pretty much yelled in my ear "get a bigger car so you'll be safe in this crazy redneck-cow-deer infested town". So I got a bigger car and almost exactly one month later I hit a buck. Good thing was that a doe ran into the road first so I braked suddenly, so when I hit the buck I was going much slower than I would have been. There could be a good spiritual analogy in there. I'll work on it later. I'm debating about whether to get the damaged fixed because, honestly, I'm probably going to hit a few more before my stay in Roosevelt is over. This morning on my way to work there was a Texas long-horn meandering back and forth in the road like a lost puppy.

In other news I was a little forward (don't act surprised) with a co-worker and now we're planning on doing lunch soon. I like to pretend it's a date cause seriously......what else do I have going for me in this town (population: me and some cows). But ultimately it's more of a "I need friends and you need friends so lets hang out" thing. The big reason why I wish it was a date is because he's freakin' gorgeous. I don't want to sound crazy but really.....REALLY this may be the best looking man I've ever seen. The funny thing is no one else seems to see the beauty. I've mentioned him to a few female co-workers to see what they think of him and the reviews have been mixed. They say he's a great guy.....but nothing about the bold attractiveness. I'm not quite sure what's going on. Either I work with all lesbians or there is some major flaw that this guy has that I'm just not seeing.Shallow Hal anyone?

Well if lunch works out and I spot the giant flaw I'll let you know. For now I'm off to study!
