Everlong

I finally got the bike up and running. My ultimate goal is to start biking to work a few times a week. Currently I'm staying off main roads until I have some mad skills. I like my bike really well and think I'm getting the hang of it.

Unfortunately one of my work biking buddies just came down with Mono and I'm positive biking by myself would not be safe. Biking with someone who has Mono might not be safe either. ha!

I ended up with a vintage 1979 Schwinn Traveler. True to form I got her at the bins and had her tuned up down her in SLC. She's covered with Portland hippie stickers which makes me pretty happy.

This weekend I may even take her down to Moab on our camping trip. Depends on if we decide to do mountain or road biking. I'm also hoping to see some more petroglyphs down there so I'll take some photos and post them.

Maranda and Haley walked last weekend and the folks and Tams come down. We all stayed in Park City and had a good time. I tell ya....two BYU graduations in one day is two too many. Robot talks and long name list reading. Thankfully I brought a book.

At the Marriott Center I bumped into an old boyfriend. We parted on pretty good terms, so a few months later I ended up setting him up with one of my new roommates. Mostly it was because they were both freakishly tall. We all all got tickets and went to see "The Mikado." "OH! MIKADO". So they hit it off and eight months later I'm at their wedding reception. I guess she (Becca) was graduating with her Masters in the the same ceremony as my sister Haley.

During check-ins in group therapy I told my clients I ran into an old boyfriend and they all felt sorry for me. It was nice.

I got released from the RS presidency which was nice, and today they called me to be a Sunday School Teacher. I love that calling! You only have to teach like once a month and it's so easy. I'm excited. The Sunday school president has a speech impediment I think? I thought he was German and had a really thick accent but I guess I was wrong. Guess I'll have to take "recognizes foreign accents flawlessly" off my resume.  I'm actually glad someone told me that, because I was gearing up to ask him about his "homeland" which apparently is "Vernal."

p.s. I think I've started to become obnoxious. I'll let you know how that goes.
