Orange you glad...

One of my new clients became enraged and I thought a little paranoid the other day at lunch when he went to bite into an orange slice and bit a seed.

"Who had the nerve to put a seed in my orange?"

were his exact words as he quickly scanned the table, mean-mugging each of his peers. In processing the event with him later it turned out that he did infact think someone, when his back was turned, had placed a seed in his orange. Apparently the kiddo has NEVER eaten anything but seedless oranges in his life. I quizzed him further,

"What about watermelons? You ever had a black seed in a watermelon."
"Uh, no. Watermelon seeds are white."

His peers found this incident humorous and have now taken to imitating him whenever possible. My favorite was yesterday while in the library when a kid opened his textbook and said:

"Who had the nerve to put these pages in my book?" to which his pal replied "Well who had the nerve to put these thoughts in my head."
