I just saw some ad using the gold medalist gymnast Shawn Johnson as the spokeswoman.
There is just nothing feminine about the name "Shawn Johnson"
She's got a boy's first name (I know it can also be a woman's name) and a Last name that is also a man's name followed by the word "son".
It would be like being named Jordan Robertsman, or Taylor Richardude, or Jamie Charlesbrother. I would hate to be a woman and be named Manly McManlierson.
I'm not advocating fluffy, princess names with all kinds of made up "Utah" spellings but seriously.
My thoughts are running pretty deep right now. Can you tell?
