I hate FB sometimes because it contains the lives of ex-boyfriends that I would like to forget. I would like to believe that when I broke up with them (yes me with them) that their lives ceased to contain any joy and they fell apart and you know...whatever happens after that. Homelessness, crack addiction...you get my point.
So I stopped on Dan's FB page last night and he's engaged! He's the one who swore he would date a girl at least 2 years before proposing--I said "Whatever buddy, you've got six months to prove to me I should stick around." So here he is getting married, and she's beautiful, and he has that cheesy happy grin he always had every time he saw me, and now it belongs to some other girl.
So I deleted him.
I then decided to also delete another guy, we'll just call him "Idiot" but I quickly remembered I had already tried deleting him. He had noticed we weren't friends anymore and he sent me a new friend request calling me out. I think I'll wait a week and delete him again anyways.
There's just not time in life to worry about whether the decisions you already made, and stuck by, were the right decisions. Even if you are nearing 30, and single. And I also don't think there's anything wrong with admitting that I'm still haunted a bit by old loves, and therefore am not mature enough to be FB friends with them.

All I can say is Ditto. Some I can be friends with on FB. Most I can't so I don't.
It is still hard to say it to them, but really what it comes down to at least for me, is even if it was wrong for us to be together... I still care for them, and for me to move on and be happy in my life, they can't be a main part.
Therefore they are not on my facebook.

I just had to go check FB to make sure you hadn't deleted me. :)
I have totally deleted some old boyfriends as facebook friends so I cannot see what they are doing. But one time when I realized one did that to me, I totally thought he was over-reacting. Go figure.
