So I don't want anyone to think I'm a big baby....but driving in Roosevelt is significantly more dangerous than driving in Portland. In Portland I had to worry about watching out for pedestrians and cyclists. Thankfully they wear reflective vests, have blinking lights and blinding white legs that help announce "Beware! man in tights!"
In Roosevelt I deal regularly with.Cows, and deer, and snow and ice. In one week I almost hit a baby cow, momma cow and a prancing deer and it was pretty scary. So I started thinking about my Accord and the more I thought the more I decided I needed something bigger with all wheel drive. I had almost decided I was overreacting when Thursday night on my way to SLC I got about 12 miles out of town and saw and SUV rolled on the side of the road and a long horned steer about 20 yards away dead from impact.
So that made my decision for me and I traded in the Honda for a Toyota 4Runner which I'm hoping will keep me safe this winter AND be fun to take camping come summer.
P.S. it can hold seven so if anyone knows of a cute single guy with 5 kids I'm well equipped to take him on.
